Dot's Trip to the Magdalen Islands
September 2011

In September, after I was mobile on my own again, Dot made a trip back home to the Magdalen Islands, with a stop in Prince Edward Island (PEI.)  Since her brother Louis-Philippe had moved back to the Islands, and with the passing of Viola, Charles and Berthe, she no longer had to stop in Montreal and Quebec City.

In past years, Dot would stop in Montreal and Quebec City visiting, but with Louis's move to the Islands, and the passing of Viola, Charles and Berthe, she skipped those stops.  She was really touched when her nieces Louise (from Quebec City) and Diane (from Montreal) came to the Islands especially to see her.

The Family house had been moved back from the bluff and placed on a concrete foundation.

Now it was in process of being extensively remodeled and enlarged.

Martha had just turned 90 in July; Marie-Anna turned 88 the day before Dot's arrival.
